Dr Toby McLeay
MBBS, FRACGP, FACRRM, AM
Dr Toby McLeay is a very experienced general practitioner who was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 2009 for his dedication and service within the community.
Dr McLeay graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1976 and spent 3 years rotating through the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Glenside Hospital, Modbury Hospital Emergency Department and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
He then spent 10 years working in Central Australia and after returning to Adelaide, Toby spent 5 years working in the Emergency Department of Modbury Hospital.
In 2000, Toby returned to rural and remote practice in central WA, where he worked as a solo doctor for 24 years, providing care to the community, miners, pastoralists, and tourists. This work was on a fly-in fly-out basis from his home in the Adelaide Hills, where he also occasionally provided GP services at Stirling Central Health Clinic.
Now back in the Adelaide Hills full-time, Toby brings his wealth of experience in emergency, remote, and primary care to support our clinic and its patients.
