Flu vaccination clinics will commence at Stirling Central Health Clinic in April. An annual vaccination is recommended prior to winter because the flu changes every year.
South Australia has been experiencing a spike in influenza numbers already in 2026, and Nationally 19,000 cases have been reported.
Everyone 6 months and over is recommended to get a flu vaccination each year because it protects you and those around you.
Under the National Immunisation Program, the flu vaccination is free for the following people who are most at risk of complications from the flu:
- Children aged 6 months to less than 5 years
- Pregnant women
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
- People aged 65 years and over
- People aged 6 months and over with certain medical conditions
A nasal spray will also be available this year for children aged 2 – 17 years.
Once clinics open, you will be able to book online by clicking here or phone 8370 9777 to speak to our friendly staff for an appointment.
