The new Pfizer JN.1 Vaccines, were recommended by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) on 9 October 2024.  COVID Vaccination Clinics will be available from the Stirling Central Health Clinic from the week commencing December 9^th. This vaccine has been developed to protect against the Omnicron subvariant JN.1. The vaccine has been approved for people over 6 months old.

People who are aged between 18yr and 64 yrs are eligible for a booster every 12 months. From 65 – 74 yrs, a booster is recommended every 12 months but may occur every 6 months. People aged 75 yrs and over are recommended for a booster every 6 months.

People with severe immunocompromise who are aged between 5yrs and 17yrs are eligible for a booster every 12 months. From 18yrs – 74 yrs, booster are recommended every 12 months but may be given every 6 months and people over 75 years are recommended or a booster every 6 months.
