Go Dry in July!
Dry July is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. People are encouraged to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the remainder of the year.
The health benefits of abstaining from alcohol for July are improvements in mental health, improved hydration, a healthier liver, and a reduced calorie intake which impacts positively on weight.
Heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol are encouraged to speak with their GP before signing up to Dry July.
